This is an Original, Lionel, Post War "O" Gauge, No. 2458 or "X2458" Pennsylvania Railroad "Automobile" Box Car, Produced by the Master Craftsmen of The Lionel Corporation, 28 Sager Place, Irvington, New Jersey, Circa 1947 or so. These cars are not rare, but finding one in this condition is quite the rare thing these days. 9 long and is all metal, with metal trucks & operating, electro-magnetic couplers at both ends, which operate nicely.

I believe this car to be 100% original paint, parts & lettering. As you can see, the car is in absolutely GORGEOUS condition!

The fact that it has been run, shows that someone must have exercised great care when running their trains, as there is hardly a mark on the car, please see photos. The original box is complete with all flaps, no tape repairs and one of the original inserts (there should be two) is included as well. The original inspection tag was inside the car when I opened the box. Anyway, these old eyes don't see like they used to, so I ask that you take the time to "ZOOM IN" and look the photos over very closely, to determine for yourself just what we have here.
