An original, WWII, US Army (USAFF) Estoppey D-8 Bomb Sight Box / Case / Transit Chest. This is only, just the transit box / case. Size: about 20 1/4" long x 11 1/4" wide x 14 high. Box is heavy - about 15-16 pounds.

It's made of wood. Original owner was Major General John F. General Freund is available on wikipedia. Condition is used - see photos for condition.

Three (3) holes in the bottom that look like they are there for a purpose, perhaps ventilation? An eight (8) inch long crack on bottom. Residuals of'stickers' on the top.
